I am the founder and president of City Core Developments. I have spent more than 22 years in Calgary’s home building industry, many of those years dedicated to constructing some of the city’s finest custom-designed luxury homes. In the early days of CCD, I was physically involved, with tools in hand, and a philosophy in my mind. The core values of bringing Integrity, Quality, and Value to each home owner allowed us to grow to become one of Calgary’s most respected luxury home builders. The fire still burns inside to make this company better every day – making your building experience great is my number one priority.
I wear many hats at City Core. I am part Owner and Vice President of Operations of City Core Developments. I have my Master Builder Certificate. The part I love most about my job is mentoring others; I enjoy bringing my knowledge to every project and take pride in the quality workmanship we have established over the years. Equally gratifying is finishing a luxury home and handing over the keys to another happy client. I want to continue to create a company that leaves a legacy for my children, perhaps one day they can work alongside me and eventually take over the reins.
After 15 years in accounting at the management level, I started my own company in 1998 teaching and implementing QuickBooks accounting software. Through this, I came to City Core as a Consultant in 2004 and facilitated the change to a computerized accounting environment for our company. There have been great improvements since then and we continue to seek perfection every day. Currently I am the Controller for CCD and love working with my team and our clientele.
I am the director of Interior Design at City Core where I manage all of our projects with the help of our team of interior designers. I have been an interior designer for over 10 years, with experience in both custom residential and commercial design. My design philosophy is “image, product and the environment should always be a fluid extension of the client - a total experience that expresses their identity at every level.” My passion for design led me to City Core Developments, where I believe in strong client collaboration leads to discovering a true vision; once the vision is in place the end experience is brilliance.
I am the Manager of Operations and a Graduate Master Builder. At City Core, I oversee the Estimating, Procurement and Design Departments, plus act as a liaison between the trades, suppliers and project managers. I enjoy bringing my 25 years of home building experience to every City Core project. I consider myself very lucky; I love the challenges of my job and enjoy the many talented people I work with.
